WHY NASTY C RULES SOUTH AFRICAN RAP

In the current landscape of South African hip-hop, Nasty C has been moving better than any hip hop artist. He has successfully mapped out the playing field for any young aspiring artist in Africa over the course of 2023, and here are some of the reasons why we think he sits on the African throne.

Strategic collaboration has been a pivotal part of Nasty C's 2023 run, and if we look back, it stretches to his feature on the late AKA's hit single 'Lemons Lemonade,' which dropped last summer. That record reminded many Nasty C fans of his rhyme schemes and fluid flows from his early days, and he hasn't sat back since. Later in the year, he collaborated with the iconic Cassper Nyovest on the 'African Thrown Tour,' which had multiple legs, starting from Cape Town all the way to the East Coast and ended in the City of Johannesburg.

The South African Hip Hop giant has also notably taken great risks over the last 5 years, as SA Hip Hop now contends with the new Amapiano wave for listeners ears. That being said, it doesn’t mean every risk taken was the most successful at that exact moment, however every risk has lead to this exact moment hence he is the most streamed SA Hip hop artist of 2023. Listening to Zulu man with some power as a Durbanite felt like TREASON to the Zulu thrown, as the album for many didn't capture the true essence of South African Hip hop however that album pointed him to His 2023 album "I Love it here" and boy we do love it.

The Versatility of Nasty C's music has been the best thing about his latest album and the best part of his 2023 run, another notable element is his non reluctance to appear on online media platforms such as podcasts like the "L-Tido podcast" and "The Ebro Show" throughout the course of his album rollout. This has allowed us to be reintroduced to the 2023 Nasty C, which is something other reemerging SA Hip Hop acts could learn from.

in conclusion this is not a real article by Complex, however its a real article by me meant to draw your attention, BYE & thank you for reading ;)
